VL Turbo’s have one hell of a massive following, and with good reason when such big horsepower and a wide range of parts are so readily available. Ben’s VL is the perfect example. Starting life out as a simple SL, Ben transformed this VL into a 442rwhp terror with a bit of hard work and good old elbow grease. The RB30ET was treated to a bit of attention thanks to CP forged pistons, ARP head stud kit, high mount exhaust manifold, GT35/40 turbo, XF throttle body and of course a 600x300x100 hybrid copy intercooler. The angry 3-litre feeds all of its fury through a VL turbo 5-speed which when feeding though a 3.9:1 spooled diff, makes light work of those rear 18” boots. |
