Phil Kerjean, owner of the tough silver VC wagon featured way back in issue 68 will return to Summernats 20 with a complete rebuild. Phil says he is scrambling to have the car finished in time for the show and will probably work through Christmas to meet the January deadline. Gone is the 304ci Holden V8, replaced by a 350 Chev made up of what parts he could find in the workshop, backed up by a T350 auto. The car has been rebuilt as a burnout car that will see a little race action and a 150hp shot of gas, should the 350 last the distance at Summernats. Underneath the car you’ll find a shortened ladder bar rear end as opposed to a full 4-link, used to accommodate the retention of the rear bench seat. Phil has also fit a cage to the car, that has been tech approved to 10.0sec and the body has been restored to its original sheen with a fresh coat of Orion Silver. Look out for it at the ‘Nats! ![]() ![]()
