Manufactured by ACL Bearing Company in Tasmania, Aluglide aluminum tin silicone bearings are available to both local and overseas markets, and have eliminated the use of lead in their construction. ACL have been developing the use of a high strength aluminum based lead free material since the late 1990’s using in-house research and development, constantly refining the alloy material bearings. The end result is an ultra fine strip cast microstructure bearing, which is constructed using a careful heat treatment processes to maximize strength.
