14/12/06 Walkinshaw Performance set to shake aftermarket scene.

The name ‘Walkinshaw’ has been cemented deep into past Australian automotive lore, and is set to once again tinker with the General’s finest to shake the very foundations of the aftermarket performance applecart.

With such a potent base to work with, there is already talk of power levels hitting the 500hp mark thanks to the integration of a top mounted positive displacement supercharger. With most of the modifications ADR compliant, Walkinshaw Performance offers piece of mind that not only are the enhancements legal, but many of them all work in harmony with factory driving aids such as ESP and traction control. Customers can comfortably know that their new road registered Supercar can pull them up safely thanks to ADR compliant six piston calipers.

Also on the list of VE enhancements comes the resurrection of a bonnet scoop design that was last seen on highly controversial HSV VL ‘Walkinshaw’ Group A SS. The ‘Power Hood’ scoop will be available in early 2007 and begs to ask the question: ‘Is that all we are going to see resurrected?’
