Readers of Street Commodores will be no stranger to Zoltans amazing 1992 HSV Senator with it winning the Street Commodores Car of the Year award and gracing the cover of issue 100. Zoltan won the award after securing exceptional results in the three key fields that have been created to determine the Grand champion, scoring highly in people’s votes, judge’s points and his performance in the driving events. Zoltan was the second competitor to ever win the Grand Champion award out of a Top 20 position.

The jaw dropping Senator not long had a complete COME Racing 383 stroker motor fitted, and issues relating to the ECU setup had the package not performing up to it’s full potential. This however did not seem to bother Zoltan as he plowed the field at the grass events and pushed those huge brakes to the limit to record some impressive times in the Go to Whoa, enough to boost his points to take out the win.

Paying homage to the late Peter Brock, the COME twin throttle manifold featured an etched signature of the legend with his famous 05 driving numbers. Zoltan, who is a massive Brock fan, stated on the forums “Thanks Brocky for looking down on us, R.I.P”
