It looks like with the discontinuation of the LS2 6-litre V8 power plant, a new power war has started with the introduction of the new 317kW 6.2-litre LS3 V8 that powers the 2008 Chevrolet Corvette.
The new engine will be available in all HSV E-series models and WM Grange vehicles from April onwards which HSV Managing Director Scott Grant is very prod of.
“We know our customers want the latest and greatest technology in their cars.
“The General Motors LS3 engine continues the HSV tradition of scouring the world for technological advancements to enhance the driving experience.”
The LS3 engine will boast impressive final power output figures of 317kW of power at 6,000rpm, whole torque weighs in at 550NM from only 4,600rpm onwards.
FPV had better be gearing up for the battle of their lifetime, as clearly HSV are not mucking around in this round.
